Delhi News Live Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported mainly clear skies in the national capital on Tuesday with strong surface winds expected to blow at speeds between 20 to 30 kmph. Over the next three days, the weather is likely to remain partly cloudy, with heatwave conditions setting in. In view of the rising temperatures, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for the region starting April 16. The mercury is projected to climb steadily, with the maximum temperature expected to touch 41°C on April 16 and rise further to 42°C on April 17 and 18.

MCD elections: Meanwhile, with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) set to hold elections for the posts of mayor and deputy mayor on April 25, the nomination window is scheduled to open on Tuesday.

Assembly Speaker visits Odisha for NeVA project: Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta will lead a study tour to Odisha, from April 15 to April 17, to learn about the successful implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) in the Legislative Assembly, which has helped the transition to a completely paperless system. He will be accompanied by Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, senior officials of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, and other key personnel involved in the NeVA project.
